Why visit Rwanda Coffee, Tea and Horticulture Circuit?

Rwanda offers a compact regional agricultural circuit built around coffee, tea, horticulture, cooperatives, value addition and export development. Kigali provides the main arrival and meeting base, while approved visits can extend to production zones in the Northern, Western or Southern provinces. A programme may include coffee farms and washing stations, tea landscapes and processing, horticultural producers, nurseries, cooperatives, packhouses, exporters, research or public institutions. Learning themes can include quality improvement, farmer organisation, traceability, export standards, youth and women in agribusiness, land-use efficiency, soil conservation, climate resilience and market development. Activities vary by crop season and host approval. The destination is suitable for farmers, cooperatives, students, agribusinesses, universities, public agencies and East African institutional delegations. Rwanda’s relatively compact geography can support several linked visits, but hilly roads and site locations still require realistic travel time. Participants should expect farm walking, changing weather and controlled access at processing or export facilities.
