Why visit Northern Serengeti?
Northern Serengeti includes remote plains, woodland and river systems near the Kenya border. It becomes especially important when seasonal migration herds move toward or away from the Maasai Mara. Game drives may reveal resident predators, elephants, giraffes and plains wildlife, together with seasonal wildebeest and zebra. Mara River events cannot be scheduled. Road connections and border transfers require careful planning.
