About this journey
This three day road safari gives two nights near Amboseli National Park and enough time for several wildlife drives. The route is especially suitable for elephant enthusiasts, photographers, couples and families seeking a focused southern Kenya experience. Amboseli's wetlands and plains support elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, antelope, predators and numerous birds. Mount Kilimanjaro can provide a dramatic backdrop when the weather is clear, but mountain visibility cannot be guaranteed. The programme includes an arrival afternoon drive, a full wildlife day and a final morning drive before returning to Nairobi.

Nairobi to Amboseli and First Wildlife Drive
Depart Nairobi in the morning and travel south toward Amboseli. Arrive at the selected lodge or camp for lunch and orientation. Begin an afternoon game drive across plains and wetland edges. Search for elephant families, buffalo, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, antelope and predators. Mount Kilimanjaro may be visible when cloud and weather conditions permit. Return for dinner and overnight.
Full Day Amboseli Wildlife and Wetlands
Start before or around sunrise for comfortable temperatures, soft photographic light and possible mountain views. Explore different habitats and pause at approved viewpoints where conditions allow. Return for breakfast and rest, or continue with a picnic programme according to the selected accommodation. Take a late afternoon drive focused on elephants, wetland birds and plains wildlife before returning to the lodge.
Final Amboseli Drive and Nairobi Return
Take a final early wildlife drive, concentrating on areas not covered during the previous day. Return for breakfast, check out and begin the road journey to Nairobi. Lunch is arranged on the route according to the confirmed package. Transfer to a city hotel or the airport with an appropriate allowance for traffic and flight procedures.
