About this journey
This six day safari links four well known southern and Rift Valley destinations. The itinerary begins with two nights in the Maasai Mara, continues through Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha, and finishes with Amboseli before returning to Nairobi. The route offers varied habitats and opportunities to see big cats, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, giraffes, plains wildlife and birds. Optional Naivasha boat or walking activities must be quoted separately. The journey involves several road transfers, so daily departure times are planned to preserve meaningful wildlife viewing and avoid unsafe late travel.

Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Depart Nairobi early, cross the Great Rift Valley and continue through Narok to the Maasai Mara. Arrive for lunch and begin an afternoon game drive. Search for plains wildlife, elephants, buffalo and predators before returning to the selected camp or lodge.
Full Day Maasai Mara Wildlife
Explore the Mara during a full day drive with picnic lunch or split morning and afternoon drives. The guide selects areas using recent wildlife information, road conditions and seasonal movement. Return for dinner and overnight.
Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru
Leave the Mara after breakfast and travel toward Lake Nakuru. Arrive for lunch or an afternoon game drive according to timing. Explore woodland, lake and grassland habitats for rhinos, giraffes, buffalo and birds.
Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha
Take an early Lake Nakuru drive if required, then continue to Lake Naivasha. Check into the selected property and enjoy a relaxed afternoon. An optional licensed boat excursion or approved nature walk can be arranged when weather and safety conditions allow.
Lake Naivasha to Amboseli
Depart Naivasha after breakfast and travel toward Amboseli with lunch and comfort stops. Enter the park for an afternoon drive, searching for elephant families, buffalo, giraffes, zebra and birdlife. Mount Kilimanjaro may be visible when the weather is clear.
Amboseli Morning Drive and Nairobi Return
Begin with a final early game drive for elephants, wetlands and possible mountain views. Return for breakfast, check out and drive to Nairobi. End at a hotel or the airport with sufficient allowance for traffic and flight procedures.
