About this journey
This expedition begins with Hell's Gate and Lake Naivasha, crosses from Maasai Mara to Serengeti, passes through the Ngorongoro highlands without a crater descent, and continues to Tarangire and Amboseli. It suits travellers who prioritise active Rift Valley scenery, plains wildlife, elephants and a circular Nairobi return. The Serengeti to Tarangire day is long. A Ngorongoro Crater drive can be added by extending the itinerary.
