About this journey
This grand circuit covers the broadest range of habitats in the collection. It begins with Samburu's northern species, continues through Ol Pejeta and Lake Nakuru, spends two nights in Maasai Mara, crosses into Serengeti and Ngorongoro, then returns to Kenya through Tarangire and Amboseli. The route contains two international border crossings and several long road days. It is designed for travellers who want one continuous overland expedition. It should not be shortened without removing destinations.

Maasai Mara to Central Serengeti
Complete border and operational transfer procedures, then continue to central Serengeti.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands
Take an early wildlife drive and continue to the Ngorongoro highlands.
Ngorongoro Crater to Tarangire
Descend into the crater for a regulated drive and picnic lunch. Ascend and continue to Tarangire.
Tarangire Wildlife and Namanga Transfer
Take a morning Tarangire drive, travel through Arusha to Namanga and continue to Amboseli after border procedures.
Full Day Amboseli
Explore Amboseli for elephants, wetlands, plains wildlife, birds and possible Kilimanjaro views.
Amboseli Morning Drive and Nairobi
Take a final early drive, return for breakfast and travel to Nairobi for a hotel or airport transfer.
