About this journey
This private half day safari is designed for travellers who want a genuine wildlife experience without leaving Nairobi for an overnight journey. Collection is arranged before the busiest part of the morning so the driver guide can enter Nairobi National Park when conditions are cooler and wildlife may be more active. The route follows approved park roads through open grassland, acacia habitat, seasonal water areas and selected viewpoints according to recent wildlife movement and road conditions. The guide searches responsibly for black and white rhinoceroses, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelopes, hippopotamuses, crocodiles and varied birdlife. Every sighting remains natural and cannot be guaranteed. Elephants are not resident in Nairobi National Park. The city skyline beyond the plains creates distinctive photographic opportunities, while the compact route suits business travellers, families, transit passengers and guests beginning or ending a longer Kenya journey. Morning and afternoon departures can be requested, although the final collection time depends on park opening procedures, traffic, weather and the guest location. The standard programme focuses entirely on the national park and returns to Nairobi after the game drive. It can be extended with the Giraffe Centre, Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Nursery, Karen attractions or lunch when more time is available.

Suggested itinerary
Nairobi Collection and Guided National Park Safari
Meet the driver guide at the confirmed Nairobi hotel, residence or airport collection point and receive a short briefing before travelling to Nairobi National Park. Complete the entry procedure and begin a guided wildlife drive through habitats selected according to current road and wildlife conditions. The guide interprets animal behaviour, tracks, birdlife, vegetation and conservation while searching for rhinoceroses, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes and other wildlife. Stops are made only at approved locations. Wildlife is free ranging, so no species can be promised. After the game drive, leave the park and return to the agreed Nairobi location. Guests continuing to another attraction, a city hotel or the airport should provide their schedule before confirmation so realistic traffic allowance can be included.
