This complete Nairobi day safari brings together a national park game drive and two respected conservation attractions. The day begins in Nairobi National Park for wildlife viewing during the cooler morning. The guide searches for rhinoceroses, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, hippopotamuses and birds while explaining the park's habitats and its unusual relationship with the city. Elephants are not resident in the park, so the later elephant nursery visit offers a different conservation experience rather than a continuation of the game drive. The programme then follows the confirmed visitor time at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Nursery. Advance reservation is essential, and access depends on current operating arrangements and animal welfare priorities. After lunch, continue to the Giraffe Centre for conservation education and close observation of Rothschild's giraffes. Feeding may be available under centre rules. This tour is well suited to first time Nairobi visitors, families, business travellers with a free day and guests beginning or ending a longer safari. The sequence and lunch location may change to protect the fixed conservation appointments and allow for traffic. Leave the park and travel to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Nursery for the confirmed visitor programme. Learn about the rescue and rehabilitation work directly from the conservation team. Continue to a selected restaurant or lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Giraffe Centre for conservation education and close giraffe observation from the platform. Feeding may be available under current rules. Return to the agreed Nairobi location after the visit.
