About this journey
This two day safari is designed for travellers with limited time who still want a genuine Maasai Mara wildlife experience. The route leaves Nairobi early, crosses the Great Rift Valley and reaches the Mara in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. The guide searches open savannah and riverine areas for lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, cheetahs and other wildlife. The second day begins early to use cooler temperatures and active wildlife hours before the road return to Nairobi. Because the itinerary is short, travel times are significant and the programme cannot cover every sector of the reserve. Travellers with more time should consider a longer Mara stay. The package is entered without a fixed selling price so current park fees, accommodation and group size can be quoted accurately.

Suggested itinerary
Nairobi to the Maasai Mara and Afternoon Game Drive
Meet the driver guide early in Nairobi and travel through the Great Rift Valley toward the Maasai Mara. Make comfort and photography stops at suitable points, then continue to the selected camp or lodge for lunch and a safari briefing. Enter the reserve or adjoining wildlife area for an afternoon game drive. Search for elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, antelope and predators while the guide explains animal behaviour and the grassland ecosystem. Return to the accommodation before or around sunset according to park rules.
Morning Maasai Mara Wildlife Drive and Return to Nairobi
Begin with an early breakfast or a short dawn drive according to the confirmed lodge arrangement. Explore a productive area of the Mara while temperatures are cooler and wildlife may be active. Return for breakfast when required, check out and start the road journey to Nairobi. Stop for lunch or a comfort break on the route. End at a city hotel or the airport according to the confirmed schedule. A late flight should allow sufficient time for road and traffic delays.
