Suggested itinerary
Arrival in Nairobi and Safari Briefing
Meet the Farmers Agro-Tours representative at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to the hotel. After check-in, the guide conducts a detailed safari briefing covering the route, expected driving times, park rules, weather, luggage guidance and wildlife-viewing etiquette. Depending on the arrival time, guests may rest or book an optional Nairobi attraction.
Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
Depart Nairobi after breakfast and travel through the Great Rift Valley, stopping at a safe viewpoint for photographs and a landscape briefing. Continue to Lake Nakuru, arrive for lunch and begin an afternoon game drive. Search for black and white rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, buffalo, waterbuck, lions and seasonal concentrations of pelicans and flamingos before returning to the lodge at sunset.
Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara
Enjoy an early breakfast, check out and drive through the Rift Valley agricultural areas toward the Maasai Mara. Arrive at the camp for lunch and orientation. Later, take the first Mara game drive across open savannah and riverine habitats, watching for elephants, giraffes, antelopes, lions and cheetahs. Return to camp after sunset viewing where park regulations allow.
Full-Day Maasai Mara Game Drive
Spend the day exploring the reserve with a picnic lunch. The exact route is chosen according to recent sightings and seasonal wildlife movement. Possible areas include the Talek sector, central plains and river crossings. The guide explains predator behaviour, grazing systems, conservation challenges and the annual migration. Guests return to camp in the late afternoon.
Mara Wildlife and Optional Community Visit
Begin with a sunrise game drive when predators and herbivores are active. Return for breakfast and leisure time at camp. In the afternoon, continue game viewing or take an optional, respectfully managed visit to a Maasai community to learn about pastoral life, beadwork, livestock and local conservation partnerships. The community visit fee is paid separately unless included in a confirmed quotation.
Final Maasai Mara Exploration
Enjoy another full wildlife-viewing day with flexibility to revisit productive areas or explore a different sector of the reserve. Guests may reserve an optional dawn balloon safari followed by a bush breakfast. The standard programme remains a guided vehicle safari with breaks for photography, birding and interpretation of the Mara ecosystem.
Maasai Mara to Nairobi and Departure
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Nairobi with comfort stops along the route. Lunch is arranged en route at the guest's cost unless added to the booking. On arrival, transfer to a Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport according to the confirmed onward schedule. A day room or late departure programme can be arranged separately.

Reviews for this safari
“The Kiambu coffee experience was organised very well from pickup to the final cupping session. The farmer explanations were practical, the lodge was comfortable and we appreciated being able to purchase coffee directly from the cooperative.”
